Ngorongoro Conservations area is home to the famous Ngorongoro Crater. The Crater is home to more than 25,000 large animals and hundreds of bird species, including the enormous flock of flamingos that occupy the soda lake. Visitors to this area undoubtedly will have a chance to view The Big Five (elephant, buffalo, rhinoceros, lion and leopard), as well as hippo, zebra, giraffe, hyena, baboon, cheetah, and gazelles. Ngorongoro is also home to many Masai villages and opportunities to interact with the friendly Masai people.
Climate
Ngorongoro National Park is subtropical, with temperatures between 65- and 85-degrees Fahrenheit (18-29 Celsius) year-round. The rainy season typically runs from November to April, with the dry season from May to October.
