Serengeti National Park

Made famous by National Geographic, Serengeti National Park is the iconic safari experience. Serengeti is home to The Big Five (elephant, buffalo, rhinoceros, lion and leopard), as well as abundant with hippo, zebra, giraffe, hyena, baboon, cheetah, and gazelle. Serengeti is home to more big cats than any other area of Tanzania. It is also one of the best venues for viewing migration and calving during certain parts of the year.

Climate

Serengeti National Park is subtropical, with temperatures between 65- and 85-degrees Fahrenheit (18-29 Celsius) year-round. The rainy season typically runs from November to April, with the dry season from May to October.
